Regional Nurse/Paramedic Anita, who works in Victoria's north, describes how a lack of hospital beds is impacting on patient care and on paramedics, who have to leave bush patients waiting for hours due to hospital congestion.
Anita says that, while the ambulance ramping backlog is often thought of as a city problem, it can be much worse in the country, where a ramped ambulance might be more than an hour away from its next job.
